Tony & Cozette O'NeilWelcome to Cozy Cove Llama Farm! As one of the largest breeders in the Southeast, we are proud to be a part of the growing llama industry. Located in North Alabama, Cozy Cove is our home as well as the home for over seventy llamas. Our forty-six acre farm is located approximately twenty minutes from downtown Huntsville, Alabama.

Throughout our lives, we have pursued careers very distant from farming and raising livestock. Tony worked for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for thirty-six years.  Cozette was self employed and managed hundreds of apartments. Along the way, we raised two wonderful sons, Daniel and Chris.

In 1993, we designed and built a dream home in a new sub-division on the Tony with Cleo & Alexoutskirts of Huntsville, Alabama.  Shortly after we moved in, Cozette discovered horses. Many hours were spent taking horseback riding lessons. Within six months, we were the proud owners of three American Saddlebred horses and had them with a trainer in Tennessee. The following year, we found  a twenty-four acre farm; renovated the old barn with four stalls and the horses were moved in. By March, 1995, we purchased the adjoining twenty-two acre farm with a small frame house, nestled under two-hundred-year old oak trees. We sold our perfect house with manicured yard and moved to the farm. Our New Life had begun!

Our First Baby LlamaTwo months later, we were driving to Washington DC to visit our son.  We were on the Interstate near Knoxville, Tennessee, when a van with a strange alien-looking creature swaying in the back passed us.  We could not imagine what IT was! We caught up and motioned for the driver to pull over. The lady was laughing at us and pulled off at the next exit. There we saw our first sheared alpaca. We were told about an Exotic Pet Expo to be held the next Saturday. We went and bought three llamas.

You will see on our website, llamas with fine fiber, good conformation, and beautiful faces. This reflects our desire to breed and raise the finest llamas. With this goal in mind, Cozy Cove has grown through the years with selective purchases, carefully Cozette with Shermanplanned breeding and ever-expanding facilities, to accommodate the growing herd.

It is our purpose to raise animals in a clean, healthy environment, treated with kindness and the respect that they deserve. We offer education and support to our clients for the life of the animal purchased.
